DI CO Cabernet Sauvignon
- Red
- Cabernet Sauvignon
DI CO tells a different story of serious, and seriously delicious wines intended for earlier enjoyment than the flagship Di Costanzo wines.
Winemaking Information
100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, typically aged in 40% new French oak barrels for 22 months. Annual production is between 275 – 425 cases.
Vineyard Information
The backbone of DI CO Cabernet Sauvignon is a single vineyard, located at an energetic exchange where Mt. Veeder tumbles down into the Oak Knoll AVA. The redwood trees high up on the neighboring mountainsides give way to oak trees further down the slopes, and sedimentary soils of sandstone and shale are home to mature grapevines, brambly blackberry bushes, and wild plum trees. Harvest commonly occurs the last week of September or the first week of October.
